Adding Characters

I was curious as to how the character system works. What mean is am I allowed to create another character to have on stand by if my current one happens to bite the dust during a weekend event for example.

yea you can create as many as you want (within reason i guess), and select one as your primary

During a single weekend event you can ever play 1 character. So even if you have 2 backup characters made, their histories approved, and all the costuming in your trunk you can't play them that same event your primary character perms.. You can totally start a new toon the beginning of the next full event but the rest of the current event gets spent in monster camp doing monster stuff.

Yes. The basic rule is that you can play one PC at an event, so if you perm, you're very likely to not get to bring in a new PC for that event. Occam's Razor is at a core a horror game, so death shouldn't be taken lightly IC and OOC.

This can be overridden by the Staff if we see a need to, but the general rule is 1 PC per event. If you had a particularly glorious death that amused us, for instance.

But, yeah, make as many PCs as you want in the CDB. You'll only be able to use one as 'active' at the event.
