Makes complete sense, thank you!

[Merana33]

The trouble with that interpretation that I see is that someone with first aid can theoretically keep a cyborg from bleeding out indefinetly. Is this an intended situation? If not it's a pretty gaping loophole.

First responder: "Beginning first aid..."
Downed Cyborg's bleedout count stops.
<time passes>
First responder: "Stabilize by medicine."
Downed Cyborg: "No Effect."
Downed Cyborg's bleedout count resumes.
First responder: "Beginning first aid..."
Downed Cyborg's bleedout count stops.
<etc>

However if the Cyborg is "no effect" to first aid, then the bleedout count does not stop while the First Responder frantically tries to find someone with a rivet gun...

[Eden Jones]

It's the GM's interpretation, so I'm going to run with it

It makes sense to me. Cyborgs are not purely machines like the LE automatons. They're part human as well, just augmented human. Therefore, unlike automatons, they don't need only mechanics.

The cyborg doesn't call "no effect" to medicine, he calls "resist" and it's only to the first attempt. The ability only resets "5 minutes after the doctor finishes". If you're still doing Round 2 of First Aid or Surgery, even if it takes 5 minutes, then you haven't finished yet.

Essentially, it takes twice as long, and twice as many resources (if your skill requires them) to fix a cyborg using medicine, but you can still help fix them and, more importantly, keep them from dying.

At least that's the way I see it.

Howdy! So, going through the rules and this thread, and yeah. Questions.

Fetch Quest(ions) -
1) Broken Psyche - When it says "You cannot regain more than 1 Sanity per reset through any other means.", does that include going from 0 Sanity to 1 Sanity after your 5 minutes of being crazy? I.e. If you hit 0 Sanity the first time per reset, Defense Mechanism for 5 minutes, restore 1 Sanity, and then lose that 1 Sanity again, are you stuck in your Defense Mechanism / 0 Sanity until you restore?

2) Dead Wood - Can you clarify "The first time you are hit by an Agony effect or an effect with the Pain trait you must call “Resist.”"? Does that mean if someone swings an Agony into you, you can call Resist on the first one, but not on the second one? Or do you have to be hit with a Double Agony or Double X by Pain to take it? Alternatively, is it only at the second call of Agony by Cold by eating too much ice cream that you get brainfreeze?

2b) How does this interact with powers that Reduce calls to Agony or Absorb calls to Agony?

3) Hollow Man - Does the Animate trait mean that they are not Living? And thus, cannot be eaten for sustenance by the Ridden, etc?

4) Tough as a Pine Knot - How much does "Heal to Self" heal? All Vitality? Or just 1?

General Questions -

5) Just making sure regarding guns, but it costs either F or a Marksmanship to fire a gun, period? So, if a character has no Marksmanship and no F left, what happens when they fire a gun? Do they call "Harmless" or "No Effect" to indicate that they missed?

6) Does Void cost the same as any other Attribute? And is it fair to put that as your bonus point that gets mentioned in the rules? In specific, does it cost only 7 CP to start the game with a Void of 4?

As an observation, By My Voice Reveal to Xenos as a non-Strain 117 could be the most awkward moment of discovering you're in a room of vampires that suddenly turns into shark-like feeding frenzy.

Also, hi. I am totally playing this game.

Glad to have you on board my friend!

Maybe we should start a "Rules questions" Thread? I think there will be more of these

Ok, started one.

Awww!

Hell, yeah, I'm playing. I honestly was looking for another LARP that will be starting in 2014, now that S&C is going into its Final Year. As much as I like steampunk fantasy? Modern day horror and conspiracy is my truly enduring love in RP.

Also, you guys were awesome to game with. So, yeah. I'm really looking forward to this game. Awesome content, awesome players who I have a blast with, and horrible things happening to people. What's not to love?

[Nick Sleet]

I would love to see a quips ability added to the Agent portfolio; something like after killing something and making a suitably Bondian pun, you refresh your costume armor or regain a sanity or something. It would also serve to distinguish the Specialization from the Street Samurai Fixer paradigm.

Of course, I'm not really a disinterested party in this, but I think it would be amusing while still fitting into the genre...

I have much love for this idea, and that's not just because I want an in-game excuse to be sassy.
