so i has a question if a friend of mine and myself both take tier 2 of the hunted Hindrance can we both be hunted by the same thing?

I have read the qualities intro a couple of times now. I definitely see that the part about the hindrances bonus be no more than +5 cp applicable to the character.

I confess I am missing something about the 5 twist point cap. I just want to make sure I am reading it right. Twist points are attached to both the advantages and hindrances. With only 5 twist points that gives me 1 hindrance and 1 advantage, then I am out.

For example I was looking at Hindrance: Trick Knee lvl 2. That would get me the 5 point cp bonus cap, and give me 2 twist points.
Then If I took Strange inheritance lvl 3 I would get 4 cp and 3 twist points.

It leaves me +1 cp to play with but my twist points would be a 5 and I could get nothing else. Did I read that correctly?

You read that correctly, Cathy. We're trying to avoid the orphan / long lost prince / hunted by a monster / with a lucky charm / and a contact in the FBI / who is a messy eater / while stumping about on a busted leg / to avoid the debt collectors who are after him because / he's a high ranking member of the military and / passes out at the sight of his own blood because even though he's / brave he / is mentally unstable due to his long confinement in the laboratory.

We're trying to limit histories to "vaguely coherent" at the very least.

I suppose two people could be hunted by the same thing. Though neither of them would be long for this world...

Would you allow someone to get 2 hinderances for 5 CP that, when combined, would normally equal 6 CP? For examble, could I get Hunted 2 (3 CP) and Mental Instability (3 CP) and recieve 5 CP for them?

Those are the only 2 qualities I want for one of my character concepts. The twist points are under the limit, and they work together (the horrific nature of the think that wants to kill me is causeing me to loose touch with reality).

Ok, let's see if I have this straight.

Shamans can learn the skill "Spirit Talker" for 4 CP which allows you to speak with Spirits for no attribute cost

The Race, Psychic with the Esper subcategory (who cannot be Shamans) no longer has the "Medium" skill, instead it is now "Speaker for the Dead" which costs one A to Speak with Shade for 3 CP

The Race Changeling may learn the skill "Whispers in the Wind" which costs one A to Speak with Spirit for 3 CP

But Humans may take the Complication 'Medium" and spend 2 A to Speak with either Shade or Spirit for 2CP and 2 Twist points on record

So Humans are the only ones that can speak with both Shades and Spirits
