Purchasing Research Skills

Two questions pertaining buying new points of Research.

1) May I buy research points after an event (say event 4 of this year) and apply them in my PEL for the next upcoming event? Or do I have to have the Research skill prior to playing this event?

2) If I am allowed to buy a Research skill and use it before the next event, how will that work for the purposes of Hidden Skills in the database not being applied yet or the CP cap not yet being raised? Do I simply state in my PEL that I *will* have a research pool of X points (even if I don't have it currently on the CDB) and buy them once the cap is raised/hidden skills are unlocked?

Hey Adam,

Unfortunately, the points of Research you are able to use effective your CS8 PEL will be whatever amount of points you had at CS8. As with any other skill, they can be purchased between events to be used at the next event (and in the next event's PEL). Hope that makes sense!
