Next time I'm in Whisper Hill I'll have to try to remember to bring a few of my decks. I prefer casual format, but I have a Commander deck that nobody will want to play against.

Also, nobody can borrow my decks. This isn't personal, it's just that anyone (save for my wife) who's used my decks has always lost. It's not a complexity issue; my cards just really hate people who aren't me, and I don't want to ruin anyone's good time.

Anyone any good with those "Make your own Magic card" programs? I'd like to see a "Penance" card. It should tap to stab "Redneck Marine", usable multiple times per turn

No, but I've heard that if you take nail polish remover to a foil card (one that's not worth anything, like a land) then print out your card design on a sheet of transparent paper and glue it on, you can make a very nice foil proxy.*

In other news, I have a deck now. It's not a good deck, but I have one. I also found one of those promo Garruk Wildspeaker decks they were handing out as goodies at PAX East that one year. The deck I made is 40 cards, cause that's what I'm used to doing in drafts. The promo deck is 30. I'm not sure why.

Actual decks are 60 cards. Promos are 30 so that you can use boosters to get them to 40 for drafts/ tests and 60 for actual play.
