Winter Progress!

Winter Progress!

Postby Brett » Wed Feb 25, 2015 6:00 pm

I just wanted to let everyone know, we are only six weeks away from the event, and by proxy Spring. I realized that today and just wanted to share how AWESOME IT IS

So, may as well do a thread on progress!

What are you working on?

What are you excited about?

How much trouble are you in?

Me personally, i'm working on my costuming, trying to find more edgy buttons, and polishing the script for the next White Noise! Because travelling for work every week is brutal on crafting and recording time.

What about you guys?

I'm moving back up to northern Massachusetts.

Also trying to prioritize making my unbound costuming. I'll admit I've got literally nothing so far except the plan. It just needs to be purchased and made.

Worrying about things I'm trying to accomplish in game and getting increaIngly anxious about success because I can't do anything until the next event. I just hope I'm not over planning.

Trying to invent the magicks and waiting for the rest of my grimoire.

Finally trying to ignore thr boffernomicon whispering 'blood' constantly.

Not really much progress on my end.

I decided to give the game another try and wrote a completely new person to do so!

Also, uh, I transitioned from a dude to a lady. Progress!

What are you working on?: Actually, as far as I know, nothing OR-related. Anyone need me for something? ^_^;;;

What are you excited about?: A 2-night, 2-day LARP vacation up a mountain with friends.

How much trouble are you in?: As far as I know, I'm as good as I ought to be. ^_^; This session's for re-integration, believe. Hell, I don't even know what to use my CP on! Suggestions welcome, actually!

Well, for CP expenditures I'd suggest "Skills." Or "Stats." Yes.

Also, if you want things to work on, we could certainly use some help with a couple things... XD

What am I working on? Trying to make a nerf gun look a bit more like a Thompson without resorting to a nerf drum clip. Also trying to demurder stick my...well current murder sticks.

What am I excited about? Other than everything (a 48 hr vac from the cruel world, nature in all its biting glory, and trying to figure out who shanked what in the where now, so on and so forth) seeing where this all leads and if I can survive another trip to Whisper Hills.

How much trouble am I in? My good sir, you forget the Gum Shoe's sacred oath. "If you're not in trouble, quit. You're not doing it right." And of course, on the back side of the plaque "And find out where the hell Carmen Sandiego is!"
People come to me looking for the truth as it suits them. They look for a happy ending to their troubles. Too bad for them. I don't do happy. As to putting an end to things, The Truth often does a fine job with out me.

What I'm working on?

Shields. While Sally Lautner's only shield will remain his face, (thanks, H.A.), I need a shield for another game. On the OR Front, I'm trying wrangle of Sally's various trinkets and weapons, and build myself a new set of 'claws' since I've been using these badboys since OR AD 1. Ultraaaaaalights.

What am I excited about?

FUCKING LARP SEASON IS BACK. Sure, I gamed in December... and January... and February... so technically, I think this is just a continuation from last August, but, yeah. Fifth Gate, Lione, Isles, Shadows of Amun, Clockwork Skies- they're all on the docket in the coming months, and OR Is now less than a month away.

As for how much trouble I'm in?

Shit, I live in The Bad Endings Cabin. Seriously. "#3 Main St- for when you want to die a horrible, unending death."

Scott, sounds like you have a LARP addiction. Not saying that's a bad thing, mind you.
I'd offer to let you stay in our cabin, it's been safer. But I hear you bring a nasty infestation of Sasquatch crush notes with you. No Big footprints needed at our place.

What am I working on? Trying to find a friend willing to shoot a Bruin's hockey jersey with a shotgun. After I sew on a few things. Already removed the name. It was a Kessel jersey.
After that I need to get to Play It Again and get a hockey chest piece and figure out how to bend some license plates.

What am I excited about? The beginning of LARP season, of course. And the end of Filing season.

How much trouble am I in? None currently, though I better start growing my beard back or The Professor will be out of costume
