Hmmm. If the game actually starts in 2014, and you donate enough for 10 CP in 2013 and in 2014... you could start at 20+20+20 maybe? We'll see what Jake says about that one.

Psst!

You know how you also can get more CP? By playing the game!

Watch out for that. Ask her what she did to the last person her character loved...

If i recall correctly, she accepted his invitation to dinner. Unless you are referring to some other person she loved who may or may not be suffering eternity in the abyss.

If you get it all at the beginning, what is there to work towards? :)

Not having your soul be sent into the fiery pits, to be tortured for all eternity by the entity of pure destruction, by two rival cults while being on the cusp of discovering world shattering information that would change the face of all the world?

Wait... wait, this may have happened before.... Hmmmm, ok.

Then you could work towards trying to redeem yourself from your family's past, to rise above it and not becoming a monster yourself, gaining the approval of all of town before deciding to make a slight deal with the devil to save all of reality, only to later discover that your deal has turned you into a minion of the most heinous creature the town has ever "fought", since in reality nothing the town could do would affect it.

Wait.... That one happened too? Alright....

You could work towards trying to discover the truth about a family heirloom, working all your life to protect it and discover what lies inside. You could finally manage to open the box and discover that it holds the necessary objects to stop all of creation from ending, only to be murdered while saving said reality.

Wait....

Okay, perhaps character goals such as trying to discover and protect family secrets, becoming better people, and not being sent to a form of hell are a little... unachievable. Working towards skills might be the safer option. :D

The moral of Lost Eidolons?

Your character will have bad, awful, horrendous things happen to them, it's a matter of mitigating as much of the bad as you can in order to try to achieve your other goals. Like stopping reality from ending.
