Hey there folks! As tradition from the long ago, your local weather report for Whisper Hill is on the way!
What can we expect? Early spring in NH! That means cold, overcast, and threatening rain for us all to enjoy, so let’s do the breakdown.
Friday night: we’re expecting a low of 35 and a 60% chance of rain & snow showers so it will be pretty miserable. As this is a brand new camp for us all make sure to find your cabin ASAP to set up and be prepared for some unhappy weather. Dress warm, and be wary of the wet!
Saturday: Saturday we’re looking at an overcast and hopefully drier day. We have a high of 46, low of 35 and a consistent 30% chance of showers. If we luck out it will just be cloudy and cool but anything could happen here.
Sunday: Of course, it’s the best of the three! A partly cloudy day with a high of 50! Which will probably occur right at game off so packing up should be a snap. 20% chance of rain so I’ll call it the best of the three days.
I also wanted to extend all of the typical warnings here, cold and wet means Hypothermia is an issue, dehydration from running around like a horrified player in the woods, and because it’s been fairly warm we could see some tick activity so be aware that hitchhikers are early risers here.
Also, tiny moon and high cloud cover means it will be pretty dark at night, flashlights (filtered) are going to be a big deal so think ahead on the light situation.
My big takeaway from this is that this is new camp for everybody. We don’t know where the trouble spots are, where the roots or rocks are, and where the wild things are so if you see something that could hurt PC, or NPC TELL SOMEONE. It will be new territory, dark at night, and unhappy weather wise. So err on the side of caution.
We have a wonderful new site, a wonderful staff, and a horrified player base. I’m so excited to play with you all let’s have a horrifying (and safe) weekend.
