Slamfire is the NERF name for something known as autofire that some modern shotguns have. Essentially what you do is hold the trigger down, and then work the weapons action (such as a pump on a shotgun). This lets you produce a incredibly impressive rate of fire, but accuracy suffers since you're jerking the weapon around.
It's usually only good for supressive fire, and that dubious combat tactic of "spray and pray".
