Printable Tattoos

Could be useful for Rappaccinians, or anyone really. I've seen a couple other brands out there on the internet--some have bad reviews, some are less expensive than others. But this exists and I didn't know it. Check it out. Enjoy!

LoL, I actually looked at Temp. tattoos today. I found a nice celtic knotwork flying raven that you can customize the size of.

I used homemade temp tattoos in lost eidolons. Can't recall the brand off hand, but they were laser printable, as opposed to inkjet. I tried both black and white and color printing.

Color toner, for whatever reason, never worked. The design would stick to the backing paper instead of staying on the plastic for application. After wasting several sheets on that, I gave up and stuck to black and white.

Those printed in just black toner worked pretty well at first. The first couple of weekends they basically lasted the entire weekend. After the summer (or winter, I can't remember) break, the ones I had printed in the beginning stopped "sticking" quite as well. I think it was that the paper got old, because I printed new ones on paper from the same set and had the same issue. By the end of LE i had completely given up on wearing them and just covered the spot where the tattoo should have been with clothing.

If anyone is interested in the brand that I used, PM me and I will hunt down the packaging. I think I can still find it, just not from the couch.

I have read similar things on reviews of some of the brands of paper--that it was difficult to use, stuck to itself awkwardly, didn't quite stick to the skin, etc. Once you actually got it on you, did it rub off or anything, Erica? Did you have a hard time removing it or did you have to wear the tattoo to work on Monday? lol

I was a bit skeptical about how a laser printer version would work. Since laser printer toner is a powder that is "fused" to the paper, it could be that an inkjet version would work better with the actual ink. I'm interested anyway.

When the paper was fresh, the tattoos would stick all weekend. I removed them on sunday evening with rubbing alcohol. Not hard at all.

You may be right about inkjet, I never tried them.
