Character Histories

Oooh, a cover page is a great idea! Especially since I have a tendency to write these as conversational 1st person pieces...

Plus that way you can put "Please good plot sir, may I have another mindf***ing?" in big letters on the cover.
I am aiming for 1500 words with a cover page detailing, in brief, key NPCs, plot hooks, and character goals.
I think a cover page is a great idea because it allow Plot to sort of glance at something quickly and get all of the important names/facts without having to sift through the entire history. However, I'm not sure it will work well with submitting histories via the database, if the database is similar to Lost Eidolons' database.

So I guess the question is whether Plot would like said cover pages, and if so whether they should be included with the history submitted via the database, or if said cover pages should be submitted though a different medium.

You know, once they begin accepting histories.

For mine, I've put a summary at the beginning with a timeline of major events and a list of people in my character history. That should work with the same database that we used at LE (although it breaks my heart a little that it can't include all the fancy-schmancy formatting and footnotes that are so dear to my heart).

For a cover page, you can do much the same. It won't be on a separate page, but it'll be the first thing Plot sees when they look at your CH, which is what you want.

I would like to affectionately point out that bulletpoints and summaries are not lazy, they are considerate.

A lot of CP has been awarded for histories, but there are still also a lot of you who haven't submitted a history yet! If you submitted but need to make modifications, please do those as well. If you've been asked to make changes, please drop one of us GMs a line once you've made your changes so we can go have a look.

Also feel free to ask us questions if you're unsure of something or want an opinion before you write us a ditty.

Yes. If you need anything clarified or just need encouragement, the staff offers both positive and negative reinforcement.

Remember, kids: negative reinforcement isn't necessarily punishment.

It's just taking... things... away...
