Costume Questions
Is there any reason why a Human can not wear sparkly make-up and look like a Changeling?
The thing about this is that makeup is used to represent features that actually exist in game. Changelings don't wear sparkly makeup, they are actually faintly iridescent. Ridden don't wear black makeup, they have seriously sunken, hollow eyes and cheeks. Since we can't actually rep these situations, makeup is used both for the effect and to say, essentially, "Hey! I am not quite human!"

Doing race-type makeup while making it clear that you're not actually playing that race would be tricky. Possibly making it super-unsubtle would do the trick (sparkly tiger stripes? I shudder to think ;) ) but that's something that you'd need to run by Plot.

I know I personally want to rock the sparkles because of the raver/candy look theme, but I don't want to step on a Changeling's toes. 8-)

Along the lines of avoiding confusion, what is the convention for PCs as to changing costumes? I can see this not being an issue for some of the races, but for the vanilla humans and psychics, Strain 117 and 3rd gen cyborgs, are we to be discouraged from wearing different outfits? I ask because my character would certainly prefer to change clothes for, say, an expected combat or an infiltration mission (pizza delivery boy here!) Cargo pants are so much more convenient than slacks for carrying ammunition ;)

Speaking only for myself, I change costumes all the time in every larp I play. I don't even stick with a color theme, like many PCs do. I love pretty, pretty clothes and refuse to be confined to just one outfit :) Granted, I generally go with a style or theme for each character -- my Madrigal character usually dresses in fancy jackets or vests and wears a floppy hat. My LE character wore a skirt, corset, blouse and cropped jacket of some sort. That worked in those games, but I'm not sure it'll work here.

Like you, my OR character is going to need different outfits for different occasions -- business suits, stealthy clothes, a little black dress (what? It's armor...social armor), etc. Unlike NPCs, we aren't jumping between different characters, so I have confidence that people will know we're playing the same PC. Mind you, if you end up playing a new PC, you should go with markedly different costuming to avoid confusion.

tl;dr -- WEAR ALL THE CLOTHING! :D
