Occams Razor

I've been looking through the forums and it seems that a lot of people are looking to be Operators. I was wondering if we could role call here.

My name is Rhyan and I plan to be an Operator.
My friend who is on the ocean and therefore can't answer for 3 weeks, named Ryan Plans to be an Operator.

I have no idea why people would keep secrets in a conspiracy game...

I was mainly looking to be sure that there wasn't going to be like a billion operators just for the sake of everyone being able to do stuff.

There are some polls kicking around with that kind of info in them.

According to the poll, 6 hackers. So potentially 6 operators.

I'm not sure why but I can't find the polls, I'm sure they're just buried in the forums.

Also Is "The System" Common knowledge. Do the mundane know about operators? Do people regularly go into the system or is "operating" a niche thing, or is all together unknown to all but operators and those they tell of it. Where do operators get the equipment to operate?

The System is a sort of semi-cordoned off section of the interwebs. It's about as common knowledge as the darknet is in real life. Ditto with prevalence of proper programs and such. It's largely the playground of the rich or the professional, in terms of using the VR aspects of it.
