A short recap of the event for those who might have missed it. This is strictly from one person's point of view, I didn't see everything, so feel welcome to add your own bits and pieces to make the people who weren't there jealo....what? ....Oh, I meant, to let people know what a wonderful time we had.
The fund razor was in a condo complex's entertainment hall. Kitchen, several rooms for panels, a TV room (Which I knew rocked when the first DvD I saw was the Princess Bride), Nice comfy main room with tables for the vendors and the Silent auction and Raffle. Big field out back for Combat demonstrations (Which ended up being popular, people didn't want to come back inside. very nice weather)
Coco was running around trying to get everything going. Jacob, John, Ezra, Gus and others were mingling, letting people meet them (You can smack me with the trout later if I got any of the names wrong, and I know I'm missing a few too. I'm horrible with names and think It's lucky I remembered that many)
And FYI, Jacob Does have a Trout of Shame. Beware the trout, the trout is large. Not to let it go to his head, but Jacob's trout is impressive. Do not tempt the trout, for thou could be smacked
The Silent auction had quite a few nice items, but the most popular items were In-game items. Three flash drives, each holding in-game information, one for each genre, paranormal, intrinsic and Technological. The bidding on the Intrinsic flash drive turned into a real war. There were In-game Headers to bid on. The ones that I remember are "Minty Fresh", "Conspiracy nut", "Red Shirt", "Awesome", "Vanilla" and "LE survivor". I don't believe the headers have any in game effects, just cool naming bragging rights There was a chance to name one of the In-game Corporations and another to name an In-game organization/plot.
There was also a blind raffle. Small boxes that contained in-game surprises. Once won and opened, some of the prizes seen were 1 Credit, 5 credit and even a Lucky coin which allowed the call of "Avoid" once per event.
The Tech demonstration on the Computer Terminal App was very popular. This looks to be extremely cool.
A discussion on the production system raised some good questions as the system is still in final development. It sounds very flexible.
After the melee combat demonstration outside and a short grande melee (Ok, we had to drag them in, it ran a while) Dinner was noshed. There were ribs, pot roast, meatballs, kielbasa, various pasta salads, tons of chips, cupcakes and very yummy brownies among the many foods.
