I recently got to join some kick-ass Shadows of Amun players for some boffer practice in a Cambridge park, and it was damn fine time.

This makes me wonder if anyone would want to try something like that for OR builds? Might as well take advantage of the fact that it's like out well past 8 PM for the next few weeks. 90 minutes or so of practicing with boffers (hell, and packets & nerf guns, as well): walloppin', husslin', and general malarkey.

There are a number of lovely parks in the Cambridge & Somerville areas where we could pull this off.

I would definitely be interested (especially if someone had an extra weapon I could borrow.)

And I am sure I can come up with an extra weapon. Trying to get better at making them, only way to do that is make a whole bunch of them lol.

I've got a bunch of material to make boffers, so Eric & I can put some together and bring some Longs (and a short or 2) with us.

I knew those dozen rolls of duct tape I bought last month would come in handy...

I'd be interested as well and have a not insignificant armory I can bring along if people need to borrow weapons of various sizes. About the only thing I don't have is a buckler (only full -sized shields) until I can sit down and finish making one.

Somebody take a picture of Sally for me. I want proof that he even exists.
