For Skinwalkers

Was bored and thought I'd help out by providing a list of animals indigenous to North America that fit the categories for people considering playing Skinwalker* but have no clue as to what animal to choose. As such this is by no means a 100% complete list, but it's about everything I could possibly find.

Solo Hunter
High Beast
Bear (Grizzly, polar, black)
Gray Wolf
Jaguar

Cold Lord
Crocodile
Alligator
Chuckwalla
Shark (lots of varieties)
Squid
Boa Constrictor (as a non-venomous snake, this probably makes more sense as opposed to being a Deathstalker)
Orca
Pike
Barracuda
Giant Salamander
Alligator Snapping Turtle
Snakehead
Trout
Eel/ electric eel

Pack Hunter
Wolves
Dog
Coyote

Stealth Hunter
Shadow Stalker
Cougar (mountain lion, puma, panther)
Jaguar
Tarantula

Deathbringer
Spider
Wasp
Rattlesnake
Scorpion
Jellyfish (saying this may cause me to get Trouted, but I accept this fate)
Man 'o War (is not a Jellyfish)

Airborne^
Windlord
Eagle
Hawk
Falcon
Osprey (sea hawk)
Vulture/Petrel
Roadrunner (Geococcyx)

Nightwing
Owl
Bat

Opportunist
Wildfolk
Fox
Lynx
Raccoon
Otter
Badger
Beaver
Opossum
Porcupine
Vole

Scavengers
Rat
Catfish
Seagull (yeah, probably belongs in the Airborne category, but it also works here if you don't want to fly)
Vulture (same as seagull)
Opossum

*For costuming, Skinwalkers should check out the below site for some tasty construction stuff. The tutorial for making the wolf head is a great starting point to make those beautiful full-head transformations.

^Crows and Ravens are not an option. Sorry guys. Jake says so.

Great job with the list!

That being said, and Jacob correct me if I'm wrong. We would prefer Animals with a South Western flair... Or I'm going senile in my advanced years...

durn kids...

Southwest will be a prevalent flavor, but it won't be the only one. John is wise beyond his years.

Thank you John! And according to the Skinwalker page, it says "North American animals," so that's what I researched, and tried really hard not to put things in that weren't, such as piranha.

Also, while making this list, I realized how many more things there are in the sea that could kill you. Here on land you get wolf, bear, and large cat plus the occasional snake. Then there's just everything under the water that'll fuck your day up. Scares me greatly.

On that note, list edited to include Eels.

List re-edited. Crows and ravens no longer an option because plot says so, but expanded the Opportunists categories.

I have a small suggestion for Solo Hunter, maybe Stealth hunter
The Black-footed Ferret
Very Southwest feel to it. It hunts prairedogs for most of it's diet

That's a good point Tesla, and I'd put it into Solo hunter because it'd fit there, but I think the solo hunters are reserved for the larger animals and the weasel family would have to end up in the Wildfolk category. This is a question for Plot to be answering. Hopefully this video of the dreaded will help them make that decision.

Also, lists expanded to include the chuckwalla and roadrunner.

I'd love to add bull or bison to the list but i've no idea where to put them except for Pack Hunter, even though they're not pack hunters. It's why I also didn't add boar to the list even though I think that should also be somewhere. Opinions from Plot?
