As one of our future resident Bound I can safely say it will take far more than a mere boss battle for me to ever be completely unbound... It would take world shattering, game ending apocalyptic scenarios first. The stats for being completely unbound are incredibly powerful, hell I seriously doubt the player basis COULD beat down a completely unbound Demon with our starting stats...

Thus the penalties to attributes seem more than appropriate. If I am completely unbound than yeah basically my next void is useless, but I look at it as part of the cost for the SUPER cheap combat skills and unholy raw power of being unbound. And if you are only unbound a single level... it hurts attribute wise but its not unfeasible. It simply means you need to plan ahead with your attribute costs and skills, bearing in mind that if you unbind at all what your capabilities and options are when you reset.

If want to play a skill heavy character (such as a Caster or Gunner), you might not want to be a Bound OR might not want to be unbinding all the time if you also want to cast spells/shoot/use skills. Its the trade off for their raw capabilities.

The Drain effect for afterword? Bah who cares. After a big fight there is always sufficient downtime to rest off the drain.

When you put it like that then yeah, that's fine. I have to agree, I also won't be going full demon mode all too often, so that won't be too much of an issue either. Although I will be a Caster, and I'm sure others will be too, and I was hoping to use the claws pretty regularly, and even pulling off that 1 binding will mean I need to divert costs for enough attributes. However, other Bound who aren't building combat-y headers aren't hampered too much by it, so I suppose it's on my head that I want to play a Caster Bound.

Damn me and my great ideas that'll get me killed.

The Drain effect will just either prevent us from resetting during combat, or just make sure we're damn protected before we do so.

lmfao it was a hypothetical situation, Gus. I still wanna call you something like Professor Squidly, though.

Hmmm, The Psychic race cannot take any of the Magical Headers. I can understand this, but that cuts them off completely from any ability to speak with Spirits. Only the Shaman header and the Changeleing ability "Whispers in the air" allow this, and I assume you can't be a Changeling Psychic.
The Psychic starter set already mentions "The Sixth Sense" but it doesn't actually give that ability.
Any chance Psychics might be able to develop this ability?

Working on a non-combat oriented character and other than Human, most of the races seem all about combat abilities. Some very interesting races, but finding the choices limited.
