NPC Guide

Hello Prospective NPC,

First, we would like to thank you for your (prospective) assistance in helping us run Occam's Razor. As you can imagine, a game with the vision we have is impossible without our NPCs (returning or brand new).

If you've NPCed a LARP before, nothing here is really all that different. We run from Friday night until Sunday afternoon, and appreciate all the set-up and clean-up help we can get. However, we're also appreciative of any time you can give us... So, don't let "only being able to come on Saturday" or similar stop you. We appreciate any conscripted labor we can get.

Before all the nitty gritty, I want to make sure everyone is clear on the Staff and NPC goal: We bring the game world to life. We play a variety of roles for a constructed purpose: to make Occam's Razor a fun and safe experience for all our participants.

Some fun NPCing facts.
- NPCing is free*
- NPCing gets you fed and a bunk space.
- NPCing earns you our gratitude in terms of CP to our games or any of the other games we have an exchange with (of which there are several).
- NPCs are tireless soldiers in the fight against boredom, and for that, we appreciate you.
- As with the rest of our game, it's 18+. Sorry teenagers. Liability and such.

*aside from the assistance you give us.

Things you should bring.
- Seasonal appropriate all black clothing with no logos (or with the logos blacked out)
- Appropriate footwear.
- Toiletries (a clean NPC is a happy NPC).
- A towel... Didn't you read Hitchhiker's Guide?
- Bedding.
- OPTIONAL: A suit or set of jeans you don't mind messing up for some of our roles. In a modern game, those are both perfectly viable ensembles that we'll likely utilize.
- A positive, can-do attitude.

That's all for now. If there's something I left off, please let me know... Any questions (as always) contact staff at occamsrazorlarp dot com.
