Dallas sat on the porch of cabin number 5. To her right was a comic book and her left was a few empty beers and one about half. She did no drink often, but today was a day she really needed it. It was a chilly night, but the sky was clear. She tugged some on her warm scarf as her eyes just wandered up to the sky. There was so much emotion and sadness in the town. For her, what Gus did was not upsetting. If she was inside there, she would have made the same exact decision. He was a hero through and though, and so she only felt proud and honored to have met him. The problem was, all this sadness and Gus' sacrifice reminded her of something she was dreading. This was the first time she was away from her parents on the anniversary of her brother's death. Not too many things really get to her anymore, but this is just something you never get use to.
Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and took a swig of her drink.
