If you possess an Item or a Skill that heals you damage, purges an effect, etc, by Medicine as a Damaged, are you allowed to use that Item or Skill on yourself?

I believe things should be appropriately understood (both with lone wolf and sins of the flesh) that you are some sort of neurotic germophobe who's got trust issues. You should be able to heal yourself with your own skills, which includes items.

What Madrigus said - in my mind The Damaged have been so screwed by the science/medical community that medicine and those who use it = bad.

I'm not a writer/director/etc so I can't say if officially you can 'heal yourself' with anything scientific or medical as a Damaged, but from a role-play point of view...? Would you? I wouldn't.

Eh, a super-cool-magicky item probably doesn't qualify as medicine or science anyway, so the point is probably moot.

So in real time it would go like this:

Unfortunate Psychic: By my voice...

Everyone else: <shit>

UP: Agony by will

EE: AAAAAGHH

One lucky Bastard: No Effect

UP: and...

EE: <SHIT!>

UP: One damage by fear.

EE: <DAMMIT> OUCH!!!

Another lucky bastard: Resist.

Those were my assumption, based on the thematic reading of the template. Damaged are individuals that have been basically poked and prodded and are always looking over their shoulder (and glaring at men in white coats.)

neither the Accelerant or OR rulebook mention going to bleed out when you waste vitality. what you probably have it confused with is if it has a verbal it sends you to bleed out. (such as waste 1 vitality by fear) easily mistakable.
