Upgrades and Epic Guns

So I have Accurization specialist, and upgrade guns for some people regularly. There are a couple of epic guns, one of which is shared (yay! Good job sharing things!) regularly. The tag I put on the gun looks like this:

“Imbue by Technology. Until you next Reset, all attacks
made with this weapon that are NOT modified by any other
skill receive +1 to their damage effect (e.g., a pistol dealing
“4 Damage” would deal “5 Damage” until you reset.). This
effect cannot be stacked.”

Since the gun gets shared between people, if I upgrade the thek rifle, and Tony uses it for a while, and then hands it off to Jones who uses it while Tony resets. Jones hands it off to someone else, who uses it while Jones resets. Eventually it makes it's way back to Tony. Since no one actively using the rifle reset while holding the rifle, does the upgrade drop off? What's the ruling here on this?

Excellent question.

The answer is: when you use the imbue, per the rulebook, you touchcast the imbue to the gun's owner. Ergo, only the first person who uses the gun gets the benefit. When they pass it off, the next person gets nothing but a normally awesome gun.
