Couple of questions from a new guy

Hi everyone,

I've been reading the forum over the last couple of days, but I haven't seen the answer to these questions, though possible I have missed or not gotten to them yet.

1. I see that writing a minimum 500 character history earns you an additional 25 CP. Where do you turn that in and how are you notified of the granting of the bonus CP?

2. The header Blue Collar/ skill Jury Rig says that the result of using the skill is "Short Repair X" What exactly does short repair mean? I couldn't find any reference in the rule book. Does this mean 1 use and then it's broken again?

3. I'm interested in helping kick the tires on the production system, who would I contact about that?

4. Is there any prohibition to bringing a CD player and discs to have music in the cabin (provided no one else in the cabin minds) or say in the tavern/ bar/ diner/ inside gathering place?

1. Character histories and CP additions will both be handled through the Character Database when it goes live.

2. "Short Repair" is a combination of "Short" and "Repair." "Repair" can generally be used on weapons and, with some races, maims. "Short" means "Lasts until you rest for 10 Seconds." So a weapon that is Destroyed and then Short Repaired will function normally until the wielder rests for 10 seconds. In essence, you're duct taping the bat with the nail in it back together, and then as soon as the fight is over it falls to pieces in a dramatically appropriate manner.

4. You are allowed to bring music for personal use. I would not recommend attempting to foist your musical taste on the locals...

Might be a little stupid to ask but, on the CP question, do you receive +5 CP for a history, making your total 25, or receive 25 additional CP, making the total 45?
