Out on the back porch

Lou looks between the wizard and the demon and thinks more about the situation. Both of them were like him at one point and were now weird. Lou thinks briefly about what would happen if one day he started to cast spells or woke up one day with magical chains on him. Maybe he had been quick to judge the two of them.

"Sounds like you two just got dealt stranger hands than I huh?"

Lou said and then cast a look around the grounds.

"Or just are farther along in the game."

He said and gave them a smirk.

"Maybe in time I'll better get you folks. hear your stories and what not. Depending on how long we'll all be here on this island or even together in Whisper hill. We might all have to get used to it huh?"

vasily walks up slowly and a bit reserved offering some jerky from his pack to the group on the porch.

"just remember lou people see the world not as it is but as they are"

"spend some time in the tunnels lou and you will be different so maybe you can see the world differently"

Mason's somber expression vanishes for a generous smile and sincere laugh.
"Used to this stuff? Oh I freaking hope not, but if you want baseless optimism talk to Gus. That said after what we went through yesterday I can't think of a crowd of people I'd rather face that fate with."

Mason nods appreciatively towards the jerky offered and takes a piece
"Exactly my point, most people would lose it under the circumstances. Instead? Shared Jerky and poptarts, can't ask for much more than that"

Lou takes a piece of the jerky, never one to turn down any kind of food. The arrival of yet an other odd fella made Lou's attention shift back to a thought he had had earlier that he wanted to bring to the attention to the others.

"Did anyone else thing it was odd that a lot of you... Interesting types... all showed up at the same place at the same time, heading to the same place?"

Lou asked and chewed on the meat. Lou wasn't one for conspiracies but it was really starting to get to him now. As Mason had put it. Once that one thing snaps you to attention, things all around you start messing with you.

vasily looks extremely uncomfortable.

"I have thought of nothing else. I am use to oddness down in the tunnels. us odd folk like to stay out of polite company. so I think is odd for us all to be together out in the light."

vasily looks lou right in the eyes.

"what about you why are you here that is the better question. we are the odd and broken toys lost by the world, but you are normal and can be with normal unlike some of us"

vasily looks away from lou afraid of what might happen to him if he stares to long.

Lou thinks about it some, seemingly unaware of Vasily's staring.

"Well, I know why I was leaving Berlin and heading to Whisper Hill but... I don't know, if I ended up with you folks... I don't know."

Lou leaned on the railing a little heavier and rubbed his chin some. Maybe there was something weird about Lou after all and he just hadn't realized it yet. Some unlocked power or hidden feature that he just know about. After a short moment of worry he shrugs off the idea. The thought of him being special in any way, shape, or form was just funny to him. He was Lou, simple as that.

"Maybe I'm just here because of bad luck."

Carrying his duffle bag with him, two sword handles sticking out of one of the openings, Heyoka approaches the back porch, his eyes hidden behind mirrored shades. He looks up at the people standing there and nods. "Morning everyone."

Lou gives Heyoka a nod in greeting and looks at the duffle bag. Yet an other reminder of how different Lou was from everyone else. Where as most folks had actual weapons to defend themselves, Lou had opted for his pole axe. the trusty 'limb trimmer 3000' certainly saved him a few times last night. The thought of sharpening it occurred to him and the idea that it had grown dull cutting down animals, monsters and people had Lou's mood sour some.

"What do you guys think about all of us being at the same place at the same time?"

He asked Mason, Tobias and then raised an eyebrow at Heyoka the new comer to get his thoughts as well.

Heyoka shrugs as he turns to make his way up the ramp. "I was told that Whisper Hill was an interesting place....I'm beginning to think I need to smack who told me that..." He rests his duffle underneath the sink and leans against the wall. "But as I have found out, some things are meant to happen. Others are chance, but for some things....they need to happen. Who it happens to, when it happens. All perfectly orchestrated."

A few minutes of conversation and Morsi reappears from the parking lot with cooler in hand. He drops it at the foot of the porch and pops it open. Inside can be seen cuts of expensive steak and exotic fruit, a small spice rack, and an expensive whiskey. He pulls out a carton of some sort of fancy imported orange juice and extends it towards Lou and Mason. He gestures towards the contents with a magnanimous flourish, inviting the small group to partake in his bounty.
"Ah, I see a few more have joined the party... Help yourselves. I have already taken care of my breakfast."
Morsi lets the implication hang in the air. His gaze turns first to Mason, then Heyoka.
"I do not believe we have been formally introduced. How rude of me. I am Adam Morsi, though most have taken to calling me other names."
He focuses on his smile, and tunes out the constant thrumming in his head and throat.
